so, we move on to the next destination which was Santorini.
If you have not read the previous Part1: Athens, you can click on the link below:
Okay, now I will tell you about Santorini. Santorini is an island in the Southern Aegean Sea which is about 200 km southeast of Greece's mainland. Santorini is famous with its white building with blue dome, so we decided to include this island in our trip.
We spent two nights in Santorini at Christina Pension. We also took its airport transfer service since we arrived there late in the evening. On the day we arrived, we just walking around the pension and went to the market. we found maggi there and we bought it! so Malaysian hahahah we bought bread, cadbury hot chocolate and chocolate jam as our breakfast tomorrow.
In
the next morning, we walked about 15 minutes to Fira. Fira is the main
town in Santorini. All the bus will stop here before moving to the next
destination. We walked around Fira and bought some souvenirs. There was a
nice old lady gave us a good luck charm. Thank you madam.

Just a fun fact, if you went to Greece, you will find a lot of their souvenirs have eye on it. Like the picture shown below. I asked the old lady, what does it means. That old lady said, it was Greek Eye which is also called Mati. They believed that if you wore this Mati, it will help to prevent you from curse that is given by a glare that has negative intention.
After that, we went to Oia. Oia is famous and known throughout the world for its amazing sunset view. I agree with that too! When you watched the sunset in Oia, it was magical! Subhanallah! We arrived at Oia quite early, so we just walked around Oia and having our lunch there before waiting for the sun to set :) and then we went back to the pension.

The next morning, we went to Akrotiri first, but then we did not have enough time to explore the Akrotiri archeological site since we had limited time. from akrotiri, we went to perissa beach which it has a long black sand, but we did not see anyone swimming there since the water was so cold. hahah after that we hurried up going back to our hotel to catch the bus going to airport.
hahah feelin' like 80's *macam zaman our moms bergambar kat batu-batuan lol*
So, basically this is what we spent in Santorini for 3 days and 2 nights excluding meal and souvenirs:
Flight ticket Athens-Santorini: RM108.51
Christina pension: 2 nights for 60EUR
Airport transfer: 25EUR *if I was not mistaken
Transport around Santorini:
fira-oia-fira 3.60EUR
fira-akrotiri 2EUR
akrotiri-perissa 1.80EUR
perissa-fira 2.40EUR
fira-airport 1.80EUR
Notes and suggestion:
1. Plan your journey well. I think it was really worth it if you take a cruise package around santorini, including cable car, cruise and Oia sunset package. We did not take much note on it and we just realize it on the third day. hahahaha but never mind, we still love our journey tho!
2. Santorini is definitely perfect for honeymoon hahahaha
